This summer, I joined Xbox as a Product Design Intern working on how the platform can lower its barriers toward new players with an amazing team of designers and engineers. Coming in as a non-gamer taught me the value of an outsider's perspective; it let me notice the intimidation and unspoken assumptions that people already inside the ecosystem tend to overlook.

Final reflection + take away
Structure is how you survive ambiguity

My project began as a broad, open-ended prompt, so I learned to build structure before chasing solutions

AI UX in my process

Moving into higher-fidelity, interactive work let stakeholders experience an idea instead of imagining it. Getting there meant pushing into new tools. This summer I experimented a lot with prototyping in VS Code utilizing the internal XBOX Design environment.

Storytelling across projects

Working across two projects, I found they became insight engines for each other — patterns in one made the other stronger. Holding both pushed me to design the story, not just the screen.
